Description / History:
Twentieth century knee prosthesis parts. This collection contains the following total knee arthroplasty used in current day surgeries: femoral component, plastic spacer, tibial tray, patella button. Also, part of this collection includes a 1940s representation of a total knee arthroplasty (TKA). It wasn't till 1963 when polyethylene plastic spacers/liners were introduced and used for TKA.
