Description / History:
Early twentieth century pediatric orthotic devices. In this collection, there are two pairs of pediatric corrective shoes and one pair of Dennis Brown clamp on splint. The infant's corrective shoes would be attached to a flexible leather strip, Friedman counter splint, used for treating internal tibial torsion. The Dennis Brown Bar attaches to corrective shoes to maintain proper hip and abduction or adduction of feet position.
