Description / History:
2 pharmacy corkscrews with wooden handles. Both date to the mid to late 19th century. Pharmacists used cordscrews to open medicine bottles. These corkscrews measure just over 5 inches long and would have been used for the opening of larger medicine bottles.

The corkscrew with the curved, rosewood handle is marked Germany, indicating its manufacture after 1870 although the shape of the handle is typical of the mid 19th century.

These are the typical corkscrew style that is still used today.
