Strontium is a naturally occuring metal, and almost all of the strontium found in the body is concentrated in the bones. Strontium chloride was utilized for pain relief during treatment of advanced bone cancer, and was added to toothpaste to relieve pain associated with sensitive teeth. The strontium chloride crystals were distributed in a clear glass bottle with a black bakalite screw top.
