Neo–Synephrine was a well tolerated liquid vasoconstrictor chemically related to epinephrine. It was used in emergency management to treat shock and hypotension (low blood pressure) that may have resulted during surgical procedures. When needed, neo–synephrine was injected subcutaneously or intramuscularly as either a single dose or continuous infusion. The bottle is manufactured brown glass with a silver metal peel top that contained 5 mL of the drug.
