Labeled Phenophthalein from the Zemmer Company, manufacturing chemists, Pittsburg, Pa.
The side of the bottle is embossed with the manufacturing company name.

Label reads
Phenolphthalein is employed in constipation for its combined tonic and laxative properties. It has been found to influence in a marked manner the functions of the lower intestines, producing a gentle, yet efficient action unattended by pain or tenesmus.
