Nicotinamide is a water–soluble vitamin of the vitamin–B group. Nicotinamide is an essential vitamin for general good health, and several studies have shown the drug's ability to raise good cholesterol (HDL) while lowering the bad choloesterol (LDL). The 50 mg nicotinamide tablets were white in color, and distributed in a clear glass jar with a white metal screw top.
