Description / History:
An early–to–mid 20th century black leather obstetrical bag with copper sterilizer. The upper half of the bag held medical tools that were used during examinations and procedures; the bottom half included a copper tin used to sterilize the medical instruments. Medical instruments inside the obstetrical bag include pairs of forceps, tweezers, a scalpel and a hand–held scale.
