Description / History:
Late twentieth century Beckman retractor made by Coman & Shurtleft. The Beckman retractor is a self retaining, finger ring instrument with cam ratchet lock and pronged tips that is used to hold back muscle and tissue. The retractor has curved shanks with hinged arms that are followed by blades that have seven outward curing prongs. This instrument is commonly used during spinal procedures.
