Lee's Save the Baby is a cough suppressant that would be applied externally to the chest area. One of the main ingredients is camphor which is toxic if taken internally, although directed otherwise on the label. The liquid medication has a dark yellow color and it is contained in a glass bottle with a red screw on cap. Lee's Save the Baby was made by William W. Lee & Co., Inc. in the early 1900s. The original formula of this product died with Ester Lee in 1974, the last member of the Lee Family.
J Pickles Snuffle Babe's vapor rub was intended for children and used for congestive relief. This product was made in the twentieth century. The vapor rub is applied on externally to congested areas. The semi–solid medication has an off white color and is contained in a plastic bottle with a white screw on cap.
