Clear mouth blown glass bottle with glass stopper labeled P. Ipec. Etopll. Label is white with gold trim and affixed to the bottle with a layer of clear glass.
This combination of ipecac and opium was used as an expectorant from the early 18th to the early 20th century.
Later, Ipecac was used to induce vomiting in the case of poisoning. Today, doctors no longer recommend its use.
