Description / History:
19th century clear blown glass bottle with glass stopper. Bottle labeled Elixir Lactopeptine from arlington Chemical Company in New York.
Label is white with blue printing.
According to the label, the contents include 18 percent alcohol and Lactopeptine. Lactopeptine represents a combination of pepsin, panccreatin, diestase, lactic and hydrochloric acids. For use as a vehicle and as an aid to digestion. The adult dosage is 2 to 4 teaspoonfuls before or after each meal. For children the dosage is 2 teaspoonfuls before or after each meal.
