From Tibet, Lactes was used and an herbal contraceptive, an anti–cancer drug, a laxitive, and used as a treatment for fever, jaundice, heat pain, nausea, sore throats, vomiting, urination, carbuncles and boil problems. It was used as a medicine for both people and as a veterinary medicine.
