Set of 2 military surgery kits manufactured by George Tiemann and Co., New York City. 1 kit contains a complete set of insturments along with sutures and needles. The second kit is missing some of the original instruments.
Each kit is encased in a tan canvas packet with snap closures. The front of each kit reads: POCKET CASE M.D. U.S.N.
The inside lower pocket of each kit contains a complete set of four scapels.
