Late 19th to early 20th century military tracheotomy kit in canvas case. Maunfactured by Lentz Surgical Instruments in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The patent date on the instruments is July 12, 1892. The set includes 7 trachea tubes in varying sizes, a roll of suturs and 1 suture needle, 1 trachea dilator, 1 introducer, 1 extractor, and 1 scale to measure depth of incision. All of the instruments are metal with metal handles. The trachea tubes are made from rubber with metal inserts.

According the the Lentz Surgical Instruments catalog published in 1892, the retail price of this set of instruments was twenty five dollars.
