Description / History:
Set of five late 19th century mold blown clear glass medicine jars with glass stoppers. White labels with black lettering and gold trim are afixed to the bottles with a thin sheet of concave glass.

Ol. Cari. Oil of Carum, also known as caraway. This was an aromatic extract used medicinally as a flavoring agent and carminative.

Tinct. Belladonn. Tincture of Belladonna, made from belladonna leaves and used as an antispasmodic and mydriatic.
Tinct. Hyoscyam. Tincture of Hyoscyamine is used to control symptoms of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. It works by decreasing the motion of the stomach and intestines. It was also used in the treatment of colic, diverticulitis, irritable bowel syndrom, and cystitis.
