Description / History:
Tincture Iodine (3.5%) was commonly used as an antiseptic to clean the surgical area of skin prior to an invasive procedure or surgery. The name "Tincture" was given to indicate the presence of alcohol in the iodine solution, making the name read, "Alcohol Iodine". The brown glass bottle held approximately 100 mL of Tincture Iodine solution and is capped with a glass stopper.
