Emetine was used to treat amoebozoa infections through hypodermic injection of a formulated emetine solution. The emetine solution was produced by dropping one emetine hydrochloride tablet into a glass of warm water. The 20 emetine hydrochloride tablets are stacked in a yellow class cylinder with a cotton stopper utilized to keep the tablets from spilling.
