Asafetida is used as a flavoring and food preservative; and in the past, has been used as a folk remedy for a wide variety of diseases. However, there has been no clinical evidence to support the therapeutic claims of asafetida.

Asafoetida was used in 1918 to fight the Spanish influenza pandemic. Recent research has indicated a possibility of the drugs ability to fight the flu (Influenza A – H1N1). More research is needed to determine a correlation.

Dose: One or two tablets 3 or 4 times a day

The Asafetida and Iron Bromide are stored in a manufactured brown glass bottle with a black metal screw top.
