Description / History:
This mid–1900s scale made of black–painted metal and stainless steel contains a removable tray and 4 weights. This scale contains 3 weight beams (one of which still has the weight attached) and is able to measure different objects of great weight variance more accurately up to 1/100th of a gram. The patent number of this scale is 1872465. This model was invented by Reinhold A. Kopp of Chicago, IL with the idea that using a triple beam will allow for a wide range of uses while maintaining accuracy. The patent was published in August 16, 1932 and was originally assigned to W M Welch Manufacturing Co. This particular scale does not contain a company name or year.
