Amidophen is a pyrazolone with anti–inflammatory properties, used to relieve pain (analgesic) and fever (antipyretic). It is now largely abandoned as a medication due to the occurance of fatal agranulocytosis (severely suppressed immune system) when administered.
Pulvule Formulation: Aminopyrine (3.5 grain), Phenacetin (1 grain), Caffeine (0.5 grain), Ext. Hyoscyamus (0.25 grain)
Adult Dose: 1 or 2 pulvules
