Lancaster County Institutions
Lancaster County has a long-established history of medical institutions, including the oldest pharmacy and second oldest hospital in the United States. The following articles relate to the history of specific hospitals and health institutions in Lancaster county.
Also known as Pap Boats, Invalid Feeders were used throughout the 19th century and well into the 20th century to aid in the feeding of patients that were too weak to feed themselves.
